Shannon Osterfeld, Associate Actuary at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) designations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The ACAS program is administered by the Casualty Actuarial Society, a leading organization for actuarial credentialing and professional education. To earn the ACAS designation, candidates must complete a set of requirements, including passing a series of rigorous exams. After earning the ACAS designation and meeting additional conditions, Osterfeld also qualified as an MAAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI enjoy using analytical skills to support strategic decision-making within the organization,\u201d Osterfeld said. \u201cThe requirements for the ACAS and MAAA designations are extensive, and the knowledge I gained in working toward them will help me both in my role as an Actuary now and with topics that I might encounter later.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Osterfeld graduated from The Ohio State University. She has worked for Celina for four years and was recently promoted to her current role of Associate Actuary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
