The drives have resulted in 486 units collected from 522 donors, and over 80 Celina staff members have participated. Employees have the option to donate during their workday as part of the company\u2019s wellness program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTime and time again, Celina employees and community members have rolled up their sleeves\u2014literally\u2014to work toward the common good,\u201d Bill Montgomery, Celina President and CEO, said. \u201cBy donating blood, you have the remarkable opportunity to help save a life, and I encourage everyone who is able to donate to consider doing so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross. The organization recently shared that donations are critically needed, and while donors of all blood types are sought, type O positive and O negative blood donors are especially crucial.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in donating blood at Celina\u2019s June 19 drive at 1 Insurance Square can sign up online at redcrossblood.org with the sponsor code \u201ccelinains.\u201d On the day of the drive, donors should enter through the office\u2019s main entrance, which is located on the east side of the building.
